K.J. KRUKis an award-winning visual artist and is both the author and illustrator of Leo Gray and the Lunar Eclipse (an epic middle-grade adventure novel about a boy who follows his dreams to the moon!). Kruk is also well-known in academia for the discovery of a spiral galaxy, the identification of coordinates leading to a verifiable rip in the fabric of time, and most recently, for the excavation of bones from an unknown alien species dating back to 9,600 BCE.

Ever since I was a kid, I've dreamed to inspire others with art.
I drew. I painted. I sculpted. I imagined! But somewhere down The Road of Growing Up, life tossed me an unexpected rucksack of lemons and I slowly lost grip of my paintbrush.
A decade went by where my paints sat locked away in an attic. Though I had intended to get back to them more quickly, Time played a dirty trick on me and threw away the key. Alas! I did have another trick up my sleeve. And with a good spurt of seventy-thousand words, a bright white computer screen became my new canvas. Only, I never imagined I'd be relearning to paint on it!
And now I'm off with a book in hand and a head filled with passion and purpose, hoping to inspire wonder, curiosity, and a constant thirst for knowledge in the minds of those who hold the key to our future. And if you just so happen to have a key that resembles one for an attic, I pray you never give up, never dismiss the dreams of your youth, and never forget to follow your bliss!
