So Leo Gray and the Lunar Eclipse officially went from the 7,000,000th to the 150,000th to the 50,000th best-selling book on Amazon during the week of publication. (That's quite impressive movement for a little self-pushed book!)
I'm enormously honored for that and I'm beyond grateful to everyone that has taken time out of their day to read and review Leo's story, including the review that came in from Kirkus Reviews that compared Leo Gray to three superb books: A Wrinkle in Time, The City of Ember, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (which you can read here).
But, what I'm most excited about is that a number of on-the-fence reviewers are posting feedback that is exactly what I was hoping for: they're not even close to predicting what will come next for Leo! Some are assuming that items left unsaid are plot holes...Others are highlighting areas where the story seems to have missed an opportunity for a spark or left character judgement calls up in the air....And that really is the most amazing news, to me, as I was extremely worried that my work was going to be too predicable; that smarties left and right would catch on to what was really going on within the plot and spoil the surprise for Book Two.
Well, everyone, more surprises are to come! ART is in the making, so do yourself a favor and get excited!
To the moon,
